For anyone who really wants to pass their driving test 1st time or who just can’t seem to pass then I highly recommend Mike Stepto. From the first lesson to the last Mike impressed me with his methodical patient and structured approach to learning to drive. There were times that I struggled in certain areas but Mike was very understanding and we worked hard together to iron out these problems. He was always punctual, and the car spotlessly clean, and if ever running late would call to let me know. When I passed my test 1st time it was one of the happiest moments of my life.

The key to being a successful safe and confident driver is with a teacher like Mike. I was quickly able to concept all aspects of driving through Mike’s calm and progressive teaching methods and found that I began to enjoy it. Mike Stepto is a wonderful teacher . The day I passed my test I went out and bought my own car and felt very comfortable and confident when driving on my own for the first time. Mike was my second instructor. The first one (from different driving school) told me I'm ready to pass and there's nothing more he can teach me – so I attended the exam very confident – and I failed. Driving with Mike was a different world. In the first three lessons he though me more than my previous instructor in all 25 lessons. It's his patience, experience and the way he explain things to his students, that made me see the driving from different perspective, he told me about things that I've not heard before. He treats every student as an individual. Mike told me that when he will be 100% sure that I can pass my driving test he will let me know and then I'll pass – and that was exactly what happened. My brother recommended Mike as a driving instructor. I wasn't sure at the beginning because my English isn't very good and I wanted to go to polish instructor. After my first lesson with Mike I clearly understood that my language isn't the barrier because he was very patient, helpful and understandable. Whenever there was a tiny language problem we used pen and paper and it was fun in a way. I'm very grateful to Mike for all his help. The day I passed was one of the happiest days of my life because, to be honest, before I've met Mike I didn't believe that I can get my driving licence with an english instructor.
